story
As told by founders Karey Burke, Dawn Olmstead & Jenn Worley

dawn:

About a year ago the three of us treated our daughters to a “teen facial” for a 13th birthday that broke the bank. $150 a piece.

karey:

Then flash forward a month. Pores are clogged, skin’s looking not-so-great…

jenn:

Everyone needed facials again, but who can possibly afford it on a regular basis?

dawn:

So we casually said we wished there was a skincare place like Drybar. What if you could get a good facial for the price of a mani-pedi?

jenn:

We wondered why facials cost so much to begin with. We did research and found that the cost of the actual ingredients, even when using top quality products, was very little.

karey:

We also found that most people don’t like having to undress and go into a dark, private room. Especially teenagers.

dawn:

We thought, what if we used the same high-end products, and eliminate all the extras… the candles, the hand massage, the high overhead.

jenn:

We started dreaming up an open plan concept with fresh, modern, Scandinavian design, and a great playlist.

karey:

Somewhere people want to go, and can afford to go. And then go again.

Dr. Lancer is the exclusive consulting physician to Face Haus, and well, how do we put it without sounding too proud of ourselves... OPRAH’S GUY!!!! Dr. Lancer is a world-renowned Dermatologist with a long-standing private practice in Beverly Hills. We could go on forever about his phenomenal reputation, celebrity client list, Harvard training and fantastic skincare line, but what we love most about Dr. Lancer is his commitment to skin health. We couldn’t agree more with him that, “When you look good, you feel good. And when you feel good, you look even better.”
